NEW SERVICES! NEW TIMES! (23 May 2009)
|
|
|
Beginning 07 June we will have two morning worship services, new small group classes and a revamped Sunday School. Here is the scoop:
Sunday Mornings:
8:30 am: Traditional / Classical / Old School Worship
We will feature traditional hymn singing, piano driven music, great preaching and a semi formal atmosphere that includes Pastor Mark wearing a suit and tie without it being a special occasion.
9:30 am: 1 or 2 traditional adult Sunday School Classes for those who prefer this time.
10:30 am: Contemporary / New School / Gen X Worship
We will feature new musical styles (think Hillsong, Tomlin, Redman, etc) band driven music, great preaching, casual dress and lots of praise singing. Pastor Mark will trade the tie for the polo and the suit for Dockers or jeans but the message of Holiness will still be the same.
10:30 am: Kids Church and Kinder Church
Pastor Sandy and her team will continue to have worship services geared to the younger set. Age appropriate messages and music so the children can worship and learn about Jesus.
6:00 pm: Small Group Discipleship
Discipleship 101 – 401 with Pastor Mark ( a 1 year course)
Bible Basics with Pastor Rob Teen Study with Pastor Jason.
Action Kids with the Childrens Team
Bible Explorers with Pastor Sandy
Other classes to be added as needed at various times and locations
Wed 7 pm: Teen Worship in the Sanctuary, Noah’s Park for the Kids and Bible Study in room B – 2 for the adults.

Our Pastor spends his time preparing to preach and teach the congregation through sermons and Bible Study. He is also teaching other Pastors through the Church of the Nazarene Modular Course of Study. His students range from staff members who are finishing their course of study and are ready for ordination to ministry students just starting on their journey to evangelists and teachers throughout the south. He is also the NC Nazarene Disaster Response Coordinator. Pastor Mark teaches churches and groups disaster response classes and helps coordinate responses to natural disasters within the state of North Carolina. When away from Church responsibility Mark likes to hunt, fish, golf, bike ride or work on his house.
Angie is a full time nurse and part time student who still manages to be very involved in the life of the Church. During any given week you will find her in the nursery, helping the Worship Team, helping with the Ladies Ministry, or Bible Quizzing. Angie is an avid reader. Her favorite literature genre is Christian fiction.
The desire of our Pastor's heart is to see individuals accept Christ as their Savior and Lord, be filled with the Holy Spirit and become mature disciples of Christ.
